VoiceThread

A voicethread is a picture or video on the internet, that people can communicate on and leave comments about the video or the picture. You have various options on how you can leave your comment, either by phone, email, ect. It also has the option to where you can delete your comment if you decide to change it up in anyway.

But yes I would use voicethreads, because this is a great way for the students to interact with one other about a certain topic. I believe that the students will also enjoy doing voicethreads because they can be creative in how the do it.

Delicious

I really liked the delicious site, I thought it was a creative way to help out with the bookmarking. This will help cut down on time for typing in and looking for the sites that you always go to on a daily basis. I think I might have to try it out because like it said this will be whereever you have internet connection and I believe that this will be very useful for me.

Spreadsheet

I have always liked using spreadsheets. They organize things and they are very useful for charts or anything with grids. I would definately use this in the classroom, because students can benefit from this program. They can use this for projects with math or science based. As a teacher we use then to keep attendance and to calculate our grades. This program has it where that we can just add to it without redoing the equation that we use to calculate the grades. It saves time from having to punch it into a calculator and it looks better whenever the product is finished.

Week 3 Inspiration

This is a really cool product. This will help elminate using a ton of scratch paper to do your paper or your project. I like they part where you can add stuff to your bubbles and that you can tie in videos and web links to it as well. You can use Inspiration in the classroom by letting them do the scratch work on it. This well save more time and it will be a lot more organized worked than having a something over here and something over there.

The type of activites are like a research paper or someone or something that may interest them. Also, reading short stories are good writing activities that Inspiration would benefit. One way is to do there work on Blogger and having posts back and forth to each other to help other students out. And Inspiratons is a good tool to use when you have to make revisions because you can add stuff just with the click of the buttom and it is a lot easier to write a paper. All you have to do is transfer the work over to Microsoft Word and it has it done for you.

Assignment

I think using blogs would be fun and useful. You can keep your thoughts throughout the day on here and just have fun with it. For educational purposes, blogs would be very useful for helping students who are stuck on problems that they can't figure out. They can go home and use it as like a chat room and help each other with their homework and help each other study for tests. I don't think that it be useful for the students to use them during the class. I think the class should be for learning and understanding the material being presented to them. The blogs will be useful for helping with homework. Students could use these blogs to help each other.

My name is Herbert Smith. I grew up in a small town in Lone Oak, TX. I enjoy to play football and basketball. I work at Brookshires in Greenville and I'm the Non-Food Manager. I'm a Senior here at Texas A&M Commerce and want to go into coaching and teach Math. I went to Lone Oak ISD all my life. Once graduating high school, I went to Paris Junior Collge in Greenville and achieved my Associates Degree. Once I was done there I started here and plan on graduating next Fall. My mom is from Germany and my dad grew up in Lone Oak. I have one brother and one sister. My brother is about to turn 37 and my sister is 27. I have one niece and she is about to turn 5.
